Monsterfy Upload a photo

You, but a plush monster.

Upload a selfie, a couple photo or your cat or dog. We turn it into an ugly-cute plush or a slow-rising squishy toy, then film five seconds of it.

Give it a squeeze. Or drop a photo on it.

JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 15 MB. One or two faces, or one pet, works best.

Style

Free every day: a few monsters and videos.

Plush or squishy

Two ways to stuff you. Both keep what makes you you, the hair, the glasses, the cat's one white sock, and add the big eyes and the grin.

The plush monster: pink faux fur, mismatched eyes, felt teeth

Plush monster

Long faux fur and soft felt. One googly eye, one sewn-on button eye, a stitched grin full of little felt teeth, stubby arms and a fabric tag in the side seam. Ugly, cute, slightly unsettling.

The squishy toy: smooth blue foam, glossy eyes, tiny rounded teeth

Squishy toy

Slow-rise foam with a soft matte skin, huge glossy eyes, blush on the cheeks and a row of tiny rounded teeth. Shaped to be pressed flat, and to take its time coming back.

Five seconds of motion

Once your monster is made, pick a scene. You get a square five-second video with sound, ready for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

A hand squeezes the squishy monster flat and it slowly rises back

Squish & slow rebound

A hand comes down, presses your monster almost flat, and lets go. Then it rises back, slowly, the way a good squishy does. It comes with a soft squelch.

Pumpkin patch blink

Your plush sits among the pumpkins at dusk, tilts its head, blinks twice and grins a little wider. Crickets included. Just in time for Halloween.

Selfies
Keeps your hair colour and cut, glasses, freckles, beard, earrings and the colours of what you're wearing. Face the camera in good light, with nothing covering your face.
Couples
Two monsters side by side, in the same pose and the same outfit colours. Use a photo with just the two of you; bigger groups get muddled.
Cats and dogs
Keeps the coat colours and markings, the ear shape, the eye colour and the one white sock. A clear photo of one pet, looking roughly your way, works best.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Everyone gets 5 monsters and 2 videos a day, free. The count resets at midnight UTC.

How long does it take?

About 20 to 40 seconds for the plush or squishy image, and one to three minutes for the video. Keep the tab open while it works.

What happens to my photo?

Your photo is sent to our image model to make your monster and is not stored on our servers. The finished image and video are kept for 7 days so you can download them, then deleted.

Which photos work best?

A clear, well-lit photo of one or two faces, or one pet, looking roughly at the camera. Sunglasses, heavy filters and crowds make it harder.

Why was my photo turned down?

Every photo passes a safety filter, and nudity, violence or photos of young children may be refused. Attempts that fail don't count towards your free ones, so try another photo.

Do the videos have sound?

Yes. The squish comes with a soft squelch, the pumpkin patch with crickets and wind. Videos start muted; tap Sound on to hear them.

Can I post the video?

Yes. Download the MP4 and post it on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts or anywhere else. A tag back to monsterfy.fun is appreciated, never required.

What do I get?

A 1024 × 1024 JPG of your monster, and a square 720p MP4 that runs for five seconds.
